New Jersey Homes

I know I don't want a road bike OR a mountain bike.... both my brother and mom have recommended a hybrid. But for some reason I can't find any that I like.... :[

I went to a couple of bike shops today and one of them had a Schwinn Cream http://bicyclesource.us/itemdetails.cfm?ID=19806 which I totally fell in love with. So far I haven't seen anything similar and I'm a little reluctant to buy it after reading all the negative comments about Schwinns. Well the newer ones, there seems to be a general consensus that the older ones are of good quality. Would I be better of buying a woman's Collegiate/Breeze/Suburban off of Ebay?

I'm not going to be doing any heavy duty riding.... no more than 5-7 miles one way and only in the city or on paved trails.

Would this be a good bike for me? Can you recommend anything better?
